The Horticutural Society Committee have arranged a visit to Hyde Hall on August 3rd. See details below

The Oulton Broad and Lowestoft Horticultural Society is delighted to offer a coach trip on Saturday 3rd August visiting RHS Hyde Hall in Essex. This date has been chosen as it is the annual Hyde Hall Flower Show. The show provides a fabulous day out for family and friends with specialist nurseries, gardening sundries, expert advice, craft and gifts, live music and tasty food and drink, as well as the chance to explore the garden in full summer bloom. Enjoy a fabulous range of specialist nurseries, offering a wide variety of quality plants. There will also be a diverse selection of gardening stalls where you can pick up essentials such as tools and equipment as well as decorative items and garden furniture. Each nursery will also create a mini display garden packed with ideas and inspiration for your own garden.

There will be a number of food and drink outlets around the show site, including the Lake View pop-up restaurant, serving drinks, snacks and tasty hot food. Up in the Hilltop Garden both the Thatched Barn and Gardeners Rest restaurant will be serving food and drinks.

There will be two departure points from Lowestoft. The first pick up will be at 8.00am Yarmouth Road bus stop (Harris Avenue) the south Lowestoft pick up will be at 8.15am Co-op Supermarket, Ashburnham Way. We will be leaving Hyde Hall at 4.00pm, to be back in Lowestoft by 6.00pm. Cost is £15 per member of the Oulton Broad & Lowestoft Horticultural Society and £18 to non-members. This includes coach fare, entry to Hyde Hall and the Flower Show and tip for the driver.
